Charged Particles 4 Cancer Therapy (CP4CT)
Support LhARA Research
Advancing the Future of Cancer Treatment

CP4CT is driven by a conviction that pioneering cancer research that integrates physics, engineering, and medical expertise will drive meaningful breakthroughs in treatment.

Our goal is to establish a world-class scientific facility as the foundation of these efforts.  Foster multi-disciplinary collaboration and innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in cancer care, and accelerate the development of life-saving treatments and technologies.

What is LhARA?

Half of cancer treatments involve radiotherapy, and LhARA is developing a new approach using laser-driven particle beams to make advanced therapies more accessible worldwide. This international collaboration of scientists, clinicians, and engineers is exploring how laser technology could expand treatment options for patients.

Learn more about how the LhARA collaboration seeks to advance cancer care by developing a new laser-based cancer treatment facility.

Let’s talk about the benefits of LhARA

  • PATIENT BENEFITS

Particle therapy as a form of radiotherapy has unexplored biological advantages which if discovered, harnessed and individualised, will provide more effective cancer treatments for tumours that are more difficult to treat.

  • ECONOMIC BENEFITS

Investment in global radiotherapy provision could save 26.9 million lives in low- and middle-income countries, and generate a net economic benefit of up to $365 billion.
