Charged Particles 4 Cancer Therapy (CP4CT)
Innovative research paving the way for cutting-edge cancer treatments

CP4CT is driven by a conviction that pioneering cancer research that integrates physics, engineering, and medical expertise will drive meaningful breakthroughs in treatment.

Our goal is to establish a world-class scientific facility as the foundation of these efforts.  Foster multi-disciplinary collaboration and innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in cancer care, and accelerate the development of life-saving treatments and technologies.

What is LhARA?

Half of all successful cancer treatments use radiotherapy, and researchers are continually developing new approaches. LhARA is exploring the development of laser-driven particle beams, a technology that could enable smaller, more affordable, and more widely available advanced radiotherapy facilities worldwide. We're an international collaboration of physicists, biologists, clinicians and engineers exploring how lasers could give doctors new options in the fight against cancer.

Learn more about how the LhARA collaboration seeks to advance cancer care by developing a new laser-based cancer treatment facility.
